CU Be an Accountant virtual workshop to provide information about Bachelor of Accounting degree program

CU in Business presentation to provide information about Cameron University graduate degrees


Business professionals who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree at Cameron University have two options, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). In an effort to help prospective graduate students identify which of the degree programs best suit their needs, Cameron’s Department of Business will host CU in Business, which will be held in-person in Ross Hall, Room 111 as well as for virtual attendees on Tuesday, October 12, at 5:30 p.m. To register, go to https://www.cameron.edu/admissions/events.


Addition of greenhouses will provide new experiential learning opportunities at Cameron University


Cameron University has added two instructional greenhouses to its arsenal of hands-on teaching facilities, thanks to a $210,000 grant from The McMahon Foundation. Situated on the west side of the Sciences Complex, the greenhouses will offer year-round growing in a controlled environment and are conveniently located near the classrooms where biology and agriculture courses are taught.


Cameron University Civic Symphony takes the stage


Cameron University’s Civic Symphony will take the stage on Tuesday, October 5, for a special concert made up exclusively of string players. The concert takes place in the McCutcheon Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for senior citizens, military members and non-CU students. CU students, faculty and staff are admitted at no charge with CU I.D. All proceeds benefit student scholarships. To reserve tickets as seating is limited, call the box office at 580-581-2346. Facial coverings are strongly encouraged.


Prospective educators can learn about teacher certification during Cameron University’s virtual CU Become a Teacher workshop


For those considering entering the teaching field but unsure of how to become certified, Cameron University’s “CU Become a Teacher” virtual workshop can provide the answers. The Zoom presentation will take place on Monday, October 4, at 5:30 p.m. This free, specialized presentation will focus on the multiple pathways for becoming a teacher.


Learn about teacher certification in Special Education during Cameron University virtual session


Would you like to teach PK-12 students with special needs? If you already have a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.75 or higher, then Cameron University’s CU Be A Special Education Teacher, a virtual learning session, will walk you through the steps to achieve certification in special education. This free, informational event is slated for Monday, September 27, at 5:30 p.m. and will take place via Zoom. Cameron University to host college fairs for southwest Oklahoma high school students


Calling all high school students! If you haven’t yet started exploring your college options, Cameron University can help. CU, in conjunction with the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling, will host two college fairs on the Lawton campus and one on the CU-Duncan camps so that high school students can connect with colleges and universities. Fairs are free for students and parents to attend.
