Cameron University’s Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts will close its 2021-2022 Spirited Season with “9 to 5: The Musical.” Based on the hit movie, the lively production follows the adventures of Violet, Judy and Doralee as they get revenge on their sexist, egotistical boss, Mr. Hart.

Melissa Mayfield has joined the staff of Cameron University as Director of Human Resources. She was most recently employed with the City of Lawton in the Human Resources and Legal Departments.
“Bring it on, After Goya,” a painting by Cameron University assistant professor of art Jack Crouch, has been selected for inclusion in the Hilliard Gallery’s Contemporary Social Realism exhibition. Crouch’s oil painting is one of 21 pieces selected for the national juried exhibit, which will be on display at the Kansas City, Mo., gallery through October 26.
Cameron University alumna Jennifer Glover-Rowland, MS, LPC, has been named director of the Student Wellness Center, which provides services that enhance the physical and mental health of CU students.
The Cameron University Department of Education will offer a Special Education Boot Camp this semester that is aimed at individuals who already have a four-year college degree and who wish to become a certified Pre-K though-12 special education teacher. The boot camp features one eight-week graduate level class, “Children & Youth: Special Needs,” which runs from October 11 to December 10.
The Cameron Psychology Clinic (CPC) has resumed seeing clients now that the fall semester has started. Cameron University will host the CU Opportunity Fair, which will provide students, alumni and community members with opportunities to meet and interview with local companies who offer part-time jobs, internships and/or volunteer positions. The events takes place on Tuesday, September 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the McCasland Ballroom of the McMahon Centennial Complex.
