“We are CU” is the unifying theme for the Cameron University Foundation’s first CU Giving Day, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 18. CU Giving Day is a 24-hour opportunity for the Aggie community to offer support to CU students.
If you’re considering earning a master's degree to become a school principal or other school leader (which requires a minimum of one year experience as a classroom teacher), register now for "CU Become An Educational Leader," a free, specialized workshop than can be attended in person or virtually. Music lovers are in for a treat when the Cameron University music program presents two ensembles in concert on Thursday, April 27. The Cameron University Percussion Ensemble will take the stage in the University Theatre at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Cameron Community Brass Choir at 7:30 p.m.
The Cameron University theatre arts program will conclude its 2022-2023 “Monster of a Season” with “The SpongeBob Musical,” based on the popular animated television series “SpongeBob SquarePants.” The production will be presented in the University Theatre from Thursday, April 20, through Sunday, April 23. The curtain goes up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Cameron University faculty members Dr. Krystal Brue, Dr. Matt Jenkins, Dr. Dana Lee, Dr. E. Ann Nalley, Dr. Rajesh Nayak and adjunct faculty member Megan Culbert have been honored with awards recognizing their contributions to Cameron’s academic community.
More than 200 students from seven southwest Oklahoma high schools converged on Cameron University recently to particulate in the university’s 41st Interscholastic Contest. The academic meet offered events in more than 40 categories ranging from accounting and biology to woodwind instruments and world history.
Cameron University piano students will demonstrate their keyboard prowess during Soiree VIX: Baroque Jewels, performing as both soloists and accompanists in a recital that will allow pianists, vocalists and other musicians to shine. Soiree XIV: Baroque Jewels is slated for Tuesday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the McCutcheon Recital Hall.
Can individuals with disabilities be valuable partners? Yes, they can! No one knows that better than Shane and Hannah Burcaw, hosts of YouTube’s “Squirmy & Grubs.” The popular inter-abled couple will share the hilarious ups and downs of their relationship during their virtual keynote address, part of Cameron University’s eighth annual Inclusion and Leadership Summit. It’s one of several topics that will be featured on Friday, April 21.
The Cameron University art program is pleased to present visiting artist Orna Feinstein, who will present “My Journey to the Past, Future and Beyond,” a visual lecture, as well as an exhibition of her artwork, on Friday, April 14. Both are open to the public at no charge.
