Elementary and middle school students can learn financial literacy during CU Money Smart summer camp


Elementary and middle school students entering grades 2 through 7 will learn tips and concepts that can have a positive impact on their lives during CU Money Smart, a three-day camp focusing on financial literacy. The camp will provide engaging activities that will introduce campers to concepts such as budgeting for the family, saving and investing money and thinking like an entrepreneur. Students will be placed in three groups based on school grade.


Askins named Cameron’s interim president


Cameron University’s governing board today announced the tentative appointment of Jari Askins as interim president of the institution, pending formal approval by the board at its June meeting. Her first day on the job would be July 22.


CU Class of 2024 are influencers


Members of Cameron University’s Class of 2024 are influencers. That’s the message imparted by Commencement speaker Natalie Shirley, a member of the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University Regents, on Saturday, May 4 in Aggie Gym.


Cameron University announces results of 2024 Agriculture Interscholastic Meet


More than 675 students from 60 Oklahoma high schools were on the Cameron University campus in mid-April for CU’s Agriculture Interscholastic Meet. The event helps agriculture students hone their skills in areas ranging from practical animal science and agronomy to leadership and business while it prepares the students for the state competition. Cameron has hosted the meet for more than 50 years.
