In conjunction with Cameron University’s current academic festival, “Care and Health: A Generational Approach,” the Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts will present highlights from “The Marriage of Figaro.” The performance will examine Mozart's timeless opera with a unique focus on mental health themes. The performance is slated for Sunday, February 18, at 4 p.m. in the McCutcheon Recital Hall and is open to the public at no charge.
The Cameron University Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts will continue its 2023-24 “Season of Chaos, Compassion and Care” with the musical “Ride the Cyclone.” The production will be presented in the University Theatre from Thursday, February 22 through Sunday, February 25. The curtain goes up on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts will host scholarship auditions for high school musicians on Saturday, March 2. Auditions will take place in the McCutcheon Recital Hall. Voice, band, orchestra and jazz band students are welcome to audition and must reserve a time by calling 580-581-2346.

The Cameron University Alumni Association is pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Young Alumni honorees as well as inductees into the CUAA Faculty Hall of Fame. The awards will be presented during the university’s homecoming festivities. Rhonda Clemmer and Paul Ellwanger will receive Distinguished Alumni Awards. Kallan Glasgow and Brett Leavell have been named Outstanding Young Alumni, and Dr. Robert Bausch and Dr. Stephanie Boss will be inducted into the Faculty Hall of Fame. The awards will be presented during an awards dinner on Saturday, February 24, in the McCasland Foundation Ballroom.
In celebration of National Phi Kappa Phi Week, the Cameron University chapter will present “The Role of the PA in Health Care Today” featuring CU alumna Angela Gibbons, PA-C. The informative session takes place on Monday, February 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the McCasland Foundation Ballroom and is open to the public.
Cameron University has announced the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the Fall 2023 semester. To make the President’s Honor Roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (carrying at least 12 hours of classes) and maintain a straight A average (4.0). The Dean’s Honor Roll requires a B average (3.00-3.99).
The Cameron University Alumni Association has named seniors Natalie Martin, Marshall Sadler and Saige Schmidt as its Outstanding Aggies of Tomorrow. They will be honored during the annual CUAA awards banquet during Cameron’s annual Homecoming celebration. The banquet, which will also honor Distinguished Alumni, Outstanding Young Alumni and Faculty Hall of Fame, takes place on Saturday, February 24.
