Employers interested in recruiting talented students, alumni and community members are encouraged to participate in Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo. The annual job fair is slated for Thursday, March 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center on the CU campus. Employers from all career fields are encouraged to register.
Cameron University has been included in the 2024 Guide to 37 Best Value Online MBA Programs. The curated list was compiled by DiscoverBusiness.us, which evaluated 233 programs across the U.S. before selecting 37 programs for their commitment to high quality, accessible and affordable MBA education.
Works by Cameron University students will be on public display in the Cameron University Art Teaching Gallery, located in the Art Building, in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Student Art Competition and Exhibition. Featuring works of art created in a multitude of media, the exhibition will open with a reception and announcement of awards on Thursday, January 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Cameron University Athletics Hall of Fame will add a group of new honorees to its roster during the university’s annual Homecoming activities next month. The induction ceremony is slated for Friday, February 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the McCasland Ballroom, located inside the McMahon Centennial Complex. The event is open to the public at no charge. Parking is available on the east side of the building.
Enrollment at Cameron University this spring has increased more than 5 percent from a year ago, and the number of high school students taking college-level coursework at CU continues to soar.
Veterans, active service members and their dependents who have questions regarding VA benefits can get assistance from representatives from key veterans organizations who will be on-site at Cameron University on Thursday, February 1. CU’s Office of Veterans Affairs will host the representatives from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 332 of North Shepler.
A painting by Cameron University’s Jack Crouch, assistant professor of art, has been selected for AASH Vol8, an international, juried exhibit hosted by the Arcadia Theatre in Tyler, Texas. His oil painting, “Amanda,” will be on display through March 3 at the Gallery Main Street, located at 101 N. College Avenue, Suite 105, in Tyler.
Cameron University will continue its12th Academic Festival, “Care and Health: A Generational Approach,” with comedian Leighann Lord. The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place on Tuesday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre. Tickets are required for admission and can be reserved online at https://www.cameron.edu/festival.
Cameron University has announced that Michael “Mick” Coponiti will become its next Vice President for Business and Finance on January 22. The hiring was approved today by the Board of Regents for the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University.
