The Cameron University Alumni Association is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Young Alumni honorees as well as inductees into the CUAA Faculty Hall of Fame. The awards will be presented during the university’s homecoming festivities. Stephen Reagan and Richard Storm will receive Distinguished Alumni Awards. Josh Mindemann and Audrey Shifflet have been named Outstanding Young Alumni, and Dr. Ioannis Argyros and Dr. Sarah Eppler Janda will be inducted into the Faculty Hall of Fame. The awards will be presented during a celebratory awards dinner on Saturday, February 22.
Job seekers, take note! Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo will offer residents of southwest Oklahoma the opportunity to explore employment opportunities on Thursday, March 6. The event takes place from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center, located on the south side of the Cameron campus.
Cameron University has announced the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the Fall 2024 semester. To make the President’s Honor Roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (carrying at least 12 hours of classes) and maintain a straight A average (4.0). The Dean’s Honor Roll requires a B average (3.00-3.99).
Works by Cameron University students will be on public display in the Cameron University Art Teaching Gallery, located in the Art Building, in conjunction with the Sixth Annual Student Art Competition and Exhibition. Featuring works of art created in a multitude of media, the exhibition will open with a reception and announcement of awards on Thursday, February 6, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Cameron University’s Homecoming 2025 festivities are just around the corner, giving Aggie alumni and community supporters ample opportunities to head to the Lawton campus to celebrate, reminisce and make new Aggie memories! Homecoming activities geared to alumni and community members kick off on Thursday, February 20, and continued through Sunday, February 23.
Due to circumstances beyond Cameron University’s control, the February 4 event designed to provide access to representatives from key veterans organizations for those who have questions regarding VA benefits has been cancelled.
In conjunction with the Stephens County Health Department, Cameron University-Duncan will host the District 8 Mobile Wellness Unit (MWU) on Tuesday, January 28. The MWU will provide health services to the public at no out-of-pocket cost from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CU-Duncan, located at 3100 W. Bois D’Arc Ave.
Employers interested in recruiting talented students, alumni and community members are encouraged to participate in Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo. The annual job fair is slated for Thursday, March 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Aggie Rec Center on the CU campus. Employers from all career fields are encouraged to register.
Veterans, active service members and their dependents who have questions regarding VA benefits can get assistance from representatives from key veterans organizations who will be on-site at Cameron University on Tuesday, February 4. CU’s Office of Veterans Affairs will host the representatives from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 332 of North Shepler.
