Cameron University will present “Life Cycle of a Star,” a professional development workshop for Oklahoma science teachers (sixth to ninth grade). The workshop will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. “Life Cycle of a Star” is made possible by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
After completing the activities required for the workshop, participants will receive a certificate and a $75 stipend. Registration is limited to eight participants. To register, go https://www.cameron.edu/chem-phys-eng/events. The registration deadline is Thursday, January 11, at 5 p.m.
The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Susmita Hazra, assistant professor of physics. Topics include:
• Are all stars the same?
• Are the stars colorful?
• How are the size of the star and its temperature related to its life cycle?
