Cameron University has announced the appointment of new chairs in three departments for the academic year 2024-2025. The appointments were approved earlier today by the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University Board of Regents.
Dr. Matt Van Sant will assume the role of chair in the Department of Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences. An associate professor, Van Sant joined the CU faculty in 2012. He holds degrees from the University of California, Riverside; Indiana State University; and Ball State University.
Dr. Stephanie White will become chair in the Department of Psychology. White previously served as a member of the Department of Education from 2006-2015. She joined the Department of Psychology as a faculty member in 2023 and is an assistant professor. Dr. White holds degrees from the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University and Texas Tech University.
Dr. Kris Mahlock will serve as chair in the Department of Sports and Exercise Science. He joined the CU faculty in 2016 and is an assistant professor. Mahlock holds degrees from Capella University, Eastern New Mexico University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
