Cameron University invites residents of Duncan and the surrounding area to attend the CU-Duncan tree lighting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3. The event takes place at CU-Duncan, 3100 W. Bois D’Arc Ave. and is open to the public at no charge.
Attendees will receive a free Cameron commemorative tree ornament as long as supplies last. The kids will get a kick out of decorating holiday-themed cookies, and can stop by craft stations to create holiday-themed trinkets. Hot cocoa, apple cider and eggnog will be on hand to quench your thirst. Cameron mascot Ole Kim will be on hand, and revelers will enjoy a ride on a mini-train.
“CU-Duncan’s tree lighting ceremony has become a popular tradition, and we look forward to welcoming our students and their families as well as community members to kick off the holiday season with us,” says Dakota Kaus, director of CU-Duncan. “The event is an opportunity for us to acknowledge the support we receive from southwest Oklahoma.”
