Numerous Cameron University degree programs that can be completed entirely online have earned placement in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Online Rankings.
“Cameron University continues to increase the number of degree programs that can be completed via distance learning in an effort to assist students who live outside of our traditional service area as well as those whose employment commitments prevent them from attending traditional classes,” says Dr. John McArthur, president. “It’s rewarding to see that our efforts to offer quality degree programs online are recognized with these rankings.”
CU is the top-ranked program among Oklahoma’s regional universities in three categories: “Best Online Master’s in Education Programs,” “Best Online Master’s in Business Programs, Other” and “Best Online MBA Programs.”
In “Best Online Master’s in Education,” CU moved up in the rankings from 245 to 209 out of 303 schools. CU offers two online graduate degrees in education, the Master of Science in Education in Education and the Master of Science in Education in Reading.
CU’s Master of Science in Organizational Leadership earned the university placement in the “Online Master’s in Business Programs, Other” category, and the MBA program was ranked 201 out of 345 schools.
In the category “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs,” CU is ranked at 210 out of 339 schools, up from 235 in 2023. CU offers numerous bachelor degree programs that can be completed via distance learning: Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Studies, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science.
Weighted criteria were used to compile the rankings. For undergraduate programs, rankings were tabulated based on faculty credentials and training, services and technology, peer assessment and engagement. Graduate programs were assessed on the above criteria as well as student excellence.
