Cameron University students fulfill requirements for Psi Chi, international honor society in psychology




Cameron University students Katherine Book and Jessica Smith have been accepted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology. Psi Chi’s mission is to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology. Membership is open to students who are majoring or minoring in psychology.

Book is a senior from Lawton who is majoring in English and minoring in psychology. She fulfilled the membership requirements for undergraduates, which include completion of at least nine semester credit hours or equivalent of psychology courses; a cumulative GPA that is in the top 35 percent of their class, and a minimum 3.0 GPA average for psychology courses.

Smith is a graduate student from Lawton who is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Behavioral Sciences. She met the requirements for graduate membership, which include completion of at least nine semester credit hours of graduate psychology courses, an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate courses including psychology courses; and meeting the graduate program’s requirements.
