Cameron’s K.I.D.S. Camp promises three days of fun for elementary school students

Are your elementary school children curious, creative and interested in science, technology, engineering arts and/or math? Then Cameron University’s K.I.D.S. Camp is right up their alley! From June 16-18, K.I.D.S. Camp (Kids Investigating and Discovering Science) will immerse participants in Camp Innovation Station, where hands-on learning, creativity, innovation, inventing, designing and problem-solving are on tap. All activities will take place at FISTA at Central Plaza from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

K.I.D.S. Camp is open to children who have completed 1st through 6th grade. Early registration – by June 5 – is $60 per child. Registration is $65 per child starting June 6. To register, go to https://campscui.active.com/orgs/CameronUniversity0?orglink=camps-registration.

K.I.D.S. Camp offers elementary school children a fun opportunity to learn using STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) concepts and also benefits CU education students, who design and lead all camp activities.

“Campers will be split into age groups that are led by our elementary education students, who gain real-life, hands-on experience in planning lessons and activities for children,” says Dr. Michelle Smith, director of the camp. “The activities are entertaining yet educational and promise to provide three days of fun for our campers.”
