High school artists invited to submit works to Cameron’s Invitational High School Art Competition and Exhibition

High school art students throughout southwest Oklahoma are invited to submit their work to Cameron University’s Invitational High School Art Competition and Exhibition. Submissions can be dropped off April 1 through April 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday, April 4, until noon, at the CU Art Building, located on the east side of campus in the Louise D. McMahon Fine Arts Complex. Both two-dimensional works (paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, etc.) and three-dimensional works (sculptures, multi-media pieces, etc.) are welcome.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, April 10, in CU’s Art Teaching Gallery with a reception for the artists from 6 to 8 p.m. The winning works will be selected by members of Cameron’s art faculty. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, as well as honorable mention.

The exhibition will be on display through May 2.
