Kingsley named Vice President for Academic Affairs




Dr. Marge Kingsley has been named as Cameron University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs. Her appointment was approved last week by the University of Oklahoma, Cameron University and Rogers State University Board of Regents.

A member of the Cameron faculty since 1994, Kingsley has served as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs since January 2024. A former academic department chair, she was previously Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, overseeing numerous CU resources and units that directly impact student success, including the Office of Teaching and Learning, the Student Enrichment Center, the Eugene D. Mahon Library, Student Support Services and academic services including the Academic Advising Center and the Testing Center.

As Vice President for Academic Affairs, Kingsley will have administrative responsibility for all academic units and academic support services, including CU-Duncan, the School of Graduate and Professional Students, the School of Arts and Sciences, Information Technology Services, the Office of the Registrar and the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Accountability.

“During her tenure as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Kingsley has continued to demonstrate strong leadership and strategic thinking,” says Dr. John McArthur, president. “She is committed to enhancing the education of CU students as they work towards degree completion.”
