The Cameron University Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts has announced scholarship awards for students majoring in one of the department’s three academic disciplines, as well as one scholarship that is presented to a non-music major.
Art students who received a McMahon Foundation Scholarship are Kanney Do, Jaden Pebeahsy and Camila Ramos Tobar, Lawton; Dayton Horn, Clinton; and Jada Lawson, Elgin.
Krystal Solis, Comanche, received the Leslie Powell Scholarship.
Music students receiving McMahon Foundation Scholarships are Emmalee Hamilton and Grace Norbury, Lawton; Heather Heinz, Fletcher; Ryley Balius, Okmulgee; and Chelsea Mitchell, Cache.
Hamilton, along with Mykayla Waller, Altus, and Lillie Hodgson, Lawton, received the Philip S. and Aldine Cash Endowed Scholarship in Music. Hodgson also received the Marjorie Farrell Endowed Scholarship and the Linda Doane Endowed Scholarship in Music.
Michael E. Richard, Lawton, was honored with the Elizabeth Adcock Endowed Scholarship, which is awarded to a non-music major who is a member of the concert band.
Theatre arts students Maliah Davis, Kyleigh Garmon and Victor Quinones, Lawton; Jaiden Standridge, Duncan; and Francis Waweru, Nairobi, Kenya., received McMahon Foundation Scholarships.
