The Department of Communication, English, and Foreign Languages offers one associate's and five baccalaureate degree programs: an Associate in Arts in Strategic Communication, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in English, English Education, International Languages, Journalism and Media Production, and Strategic Communication. Associate in Arts in Strategic Communication
MISSION STATEMENT
The Associate in Arts in Strategic Communication supports Cameron University's mission of offering educational opportunities for a diverse student body. The program strives to develop students' intellectual capacities and to expose students to an array of studies in the liberal arts. This prepares students to contribute to communities at home and abroad by fostering cultural awareness; developing individual critical, analytical, and creative capacities; and encouraging habits of the mind that will facilitate success in rapidly changing academic and professional worlds.

The Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages supports Cameron University's mission by providing student-centered courses designed by dedicated faculty members who have extensive knowledge and experience in their fields and a deep commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service. The Department prides itself on exposing students to an array of studies in the fields of language, literature, and writing, which will prepare them to contribute to communities at home and abroad by fostering cultural awareness; developing individual critical, analytical, and creative capacities; and encouraging habits of the mind that will facilitate success in rapidly changing academic and professional worlds.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN JOURNALISM AND MEDIA PRODUCTION
MISSION STATEMENT
The Journalism and Media Production program is a student-centered multiple media focused degree. The program develops students' technical abilities, fosters critical thinking and problem solving, and prepares students for entry into graduate school and media-related professions.
