Custodial Services

Cameron University uses contracted services for custodial services. Areas of responsibility for custodial services are maintaining, cleaning, and protecting the interior of Cameron University buildings. Preparing and maintaining facilities for university sponsored and/or approved events is another function of custodial services. Some of the services performed include:

  • Sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, polishing, and scrubbing of building floors
  • Emptying of trash and waste containers
  • Cleaning, dusting, waxing, and polishing of furniture and various surfaces
  • Washing of windows, mirrors, and glass
  • Cleaning of restrooms and replacing of lavatory supplies
  • Sweeping and cleaning of sidewalks and steps
  • Handling of cleaning chemicals
  • Changing of fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs
  • Operation and maintenance of vacuum cleaners, buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, polishers, and shampoo machines
  • Moving of furniture for ADA and special seating requirements for classrooms

Some EMERGENCIES we request that you call into Physical Facilities at: 581-2415 or 581-2424. These include:

  • Any type of spills
  • Exposure of any bodily fluids
  • Toilet malfunctions
  • Depletion of restroom supplies

If you see an incident or mess on campus, please report it immediately to Physical Facilities at 581-2415 or Custodial Services at 581-2424. We are willing and ready to respond to accidents but need to be notified as quickly as possible.
