Internship Opportunities
The Department of Communication, English and Foreign Languages works with non-profits, news and media organizations, public-relations companies, and city/state/ federal entities to provide internship opportunities for our undergraduate students.
CEFL Internship Partners include:

- KCCU (Lawton’s NPR station)
- Friends of the Wichitas
- Fort Sill Fires Center of Excellence, U.S. Army
Internships may also be conducted with other organizations if an agreement is developed and approved by the department and the organization.
Students may receive academic credit for internships. The department offers the following internship courses:

Professor Carney (wcarney@cameron.edu) or Professor Leah Chaffins (lellis@cameron.edu) for internships in Writing and English.
These professors will guide you through the process of setting up an internship. It would be best to contact the professor in the semester before the internship is to be undertaken. The contact professor will work out the appropriate agreement with the internship partner and gain appropriate approvals for enrollment.
